An Iraqi city located on the western bank of the Euphrates River, about 160 km south of Baghdad. Najaf is one of the most important holy cities for Shiite Muslims, as it contains the shrine of Imam Ali bin Abi Talib, the fourth Rightly Guided Caliph and one of the most important Shiite imams. Najaf is also known as an important scientific and religious center, as it includes many seminaries and religious schools.

It is considered the holiest place for Shiite Muslims, and it includes the shrine of Imam Ali bin Abi Talib. It is called (the Holy Shrine of Alawiya, Al-Rawdah Al-Haidariyya, or the Shrine of Imam Ali). It is a religious shrine and a mosque located in the city of Najaf in Iraq, and it is one of the holy places for Shiite Muslims.

  Many sources, most of which belong to Shiite historians, mention that it was built over the tomb of Imam Ali bin Abi Talib, the fourth Rightly Guided Caliph after the Prophet Muhammad, may God bless him and his family and grant them peace. The shrine was renewed several times and in different stages, and later the dome above it was re-gilded and a new courtyard was added, called the Court of Fatima al-Zahra.

Kufa Mosque

It is considered one of the oldest mosques in Iraq, and was built by the Commander of the Faithful, Ali bin Abi Talib.
